Ella has the most beautiful head of curly hair. It doesn't always look perfect and we keep it tied up most of the time. So here is a shot of her with her hair down so you can see how long it is. (Even after her self inflicted haircut a little while back!)
The third picture is of Ella in the little storage box we use for toys in the girls bedroom. I guess she couldn't reach what she wanted so she just climbed right in.

November 9th, 2009 ~ A Beautiful Fall Day in St
Louis!
I love a beautiful fall
day. Chris enlisted the girls help to rake the enormous amounts of
leaves in our front yard. Of course every leaf pile needs to be jumped
in first though and Ciara and Ella were happy to oblige!

Ella had a great time at Chris's company picnic. Like most kids do, she loved the bouncy castle! She and Ciara went in several times together and then Ella got brave enough to go by herself. She bounced and flipped and didn't even care when other kids knocked her over.

Ella has become a little of a picky eater lately. She has never been much of a meat eater. On occasion she will eat a hot dog or some chicken nuggets. At the picnic, they served typical BBQ fare. Hamburgers, hotdogs, beans, chips etc.
On this hot day Ella decided her lunch was going to be plain potato chips dipped in mom's coke. Hmm....sounds delicious!

As most parents know when your children are too quiet, something is usually up. I was cooking dinner and realized I hadn't heard Ella in a while. I called out her name and she didn't answer so I went to find her.
I found her in Riley's room, playing his Nintendo DS. She acted like she couldn't even see us because she knew she wasn't supposed to have the game.

Since Ella doesn't have a lot of social engagements at this point in her life, I will just tell you a little bit about her personality. Obviously we think Ella is our little cutie pie with her wonderful curly dark hair, big brown eyes, and one of our favorite thing about her: her beautiful smile. The thing we love most about her though is her personality. Ella is always smiling and always looking for something fun to do. She has an amazing vocabulary and is always surprising us with something cute that she says.
Of course as she she gets older and more independent, she is also becoming more assertive and demanding of her wants and needs. Which basically translates to throwing a temper tantrum when she does not get her way.
She loves to visit with her Grandma Clara and have "Tea Party" where she serves Hot Cocoa (which is actually lemonade) with mini marshmallows in it. Yum!
~While riding in the backseat of the car with her sibling, she turns to Riley and says "You are in big trouble" We all started laughing and Ella comes back with "Do you know what trouble is?"
~While in her crib, with the lights out and ready for bedtime, we hear "Where are we going? (clap, clap, clap) Grandma's house!" (Those of you with kids that watch Dora, know what I'm talking about)
~To Riley: "Do you like Clams? Otters like Clams!"
~"We have to speak spanish! Uno, Dos, Tres, Ocho!"
