Hard to believe Riley will be turning 11 tomorrow!! He had a little birthday celebration today with some of his friends. He opted for a pretty low key party this year. He invited some of his friends over and they played video games and ate pizza. And of course had chocolate cupcakes for dessert. Two of the boys spent the night and they partied on till the wee hours of the morning.

| Riley wins 2nd place at Science Fair |

February 18th, 2010
Tonight was Science Night at the kids school. Its a tradition at their school, even though there was a few changes this year. In the past they had a chemist come in and demonstrate some experiments for the kids. This year the pharmaceutical company, like most of America, made budget cuts and cut the program. So....they improvised. A few of the teachers set up little experiments that the kids could participate in.
They also had also the Science Projects on Display. Riley was required to do one as part of his Science grade. He decided to do a project entitled "How Clean is it really?" He tested different surfaces in his classroom. All sorts of nasty bacteria grew! Yuk!!
When we visited the display's we found a 2nd place trophy waiting for him! He was pretty excited.
